Day 4: 6.8.22 Alignment
Alignment with truth
1. Day 2 of rain
The first day of rain was on my day one when I had only just finished planting my cuttings from Adelaide on the right side of the front yard. Today, Saturday the 6.8.22 on my 4th day here, I received my second day of rain. I spent the first half of the day entering journals and more reading. Towards the evening, I took my usual stroll down the track in search of living things attractive for planting for me. Again only a plastic bag full of pig face. This time I planted alongside the shed all the way to the back. I cleared around the tank and labelled some rocks where it was wet. What a perfect time to plant. Anything I can find really. To fill the dry clay with green is my vision.
2. Alignment with truth
This morning I listened to Bill Winston speaking on alignment with truth. This was a difficult theme to grasp. I read the whole chapter of Ephesians 6 by Paul the Apostle to the church in Ephesus. And there he speaks of the armor of God. My attention was drawn to the truth around the loins. The loin is the trunk of our body. Hence, everything else gets their grip from the loin including the belt, and the breastplate. I realised that truth and righteousness are different. Truth is foundation of reality that one believes in. For example, in my faith, my truth is Jesus as son of God and of man. The values, attributes, perceptions, faith and actions are drawn from what Jesus taught, lived and preached. All of these include love, hope, grace, equality, equity, freedom, creativity, empowerment, sharing, caring, and more good things. Righteousness is simply living these out in day to day lives as we grow as individuals and as we relate with each other.
3. A call from a friend
My friend Cara called me and we had a nice long conversation. We share a lot of similar views about the world, especially on gender and inequality. Also colonization, culture and race. We spoke about the patriarchal society that is in PNG. We spoke about influential women and how anything is possible. We talked about racisim and sexism. We talked about publication and finishing our PhDs. We spoke about food and friends. It took almost an hour. I felt energised after the conversation. Thank you lewa Cara!
3. Photo gallery of day 4
The following photos are areas that is covered with planting. My plan is to cover all the corners with planting anything I can find to turn the clay into green. Pig face is working for now. Adjustments will be made later as things progress.
